The end of my Minnesotan Summer

Remember this? Well, we just got it back from the shop! Quilting’s all done. (Now I just have to do the binding . . . )

See the stars?!

Here’s the back . . . .

Anyways, I’ll be taking off on Thursday for South Africa. I’m hoping to post relatively often on here for those who would like updates.

Consider yourself informed. :)

  1. NICE!!

and who says “I am going to fly to another whole other CONTINENT “so casually?? I hope your postings will be a tad more informative. I’ll be praying for you on your adventure.

I like the new theme a lot too!

  2. Isn’t it though?! She only charged us $45. That’s pretty good, right?

Yeah, sorta pathetic, gotta admit it. Know that behind that casual statement, there’s a whole lotta craziness. And thank you! Prayers are much appreciated.

And I will be more informative. :)

Yeah, same here. :) It’s easier to read on here too.

  3. That’s a waaay good price-for professional work like that!

Your blog will make an excellent real-time photo album/diary/scrapbook for you to remember the trip by later. (yeah-just trying to give more reasons for you to become a jabber-box so I can see how you are doing for real instead of just knowing you are alive and what the weather is. :D) I can always just grill your Mom too.

  4. That’s what I thought. We’re pretty pleased.

You, Dandelionmom, have officially finalized my decision to make this blog into that “excellent real-time photo album/diary/scrapbook”. I’ll post as often as possible while still being reasonable.
I’ll be a jabber-box for you. :) No problem. I have no issues with talking. Fortunately for everyone, I’ve recently been given a new, good, working camera for the trip, so photos will definitely be included.

  5. Your quilt turned out wonderful. I am so happy that I got to see you (and your family) yesterday. I will eagerly look forward to any and all posts you choose to write. What an excellent opportunity for you this is.

  6. Caleb – so many things I could say to you right at this moment. So many things. I suppose I’ll just settle on . . . .
Avoid my mother grilled. I would like it if I could come home to a whole, uneated Mother. Thanks.

Auntie Sue – Thanks! I was hoping I could show it to you when we got together yesterday, but I forgot. Thanks again for the camera! I’ve been using it quite a bit.
